The Bully

The fuzzy feeling grew as the bully got closer! facing my fear I summoned all my courage. ‘You wont get me this time’
I wonder why the bully always wants to get me? Maybe he would leave me alone this time. I was facing my greatest fear.
Summoning all my courage, I tried to catch my breath. Screaming silently in my head, I didn't feel so brave. How could I defend myself against the big bully?

straw bridges

My friends and I had to make a bridge out of straws. Firstly had to make it stronger by making triangles. The class were put into groups and we used cooperation. the class came together and we had to put out bridges between two chairs and put a block on it, to see if the straw bridges could hold it.

Our reading group learn about bridges. I learnt about the Brooklyn Bridge. We drew a picture about the bridge and wrote some information. We made a world tour to show our bridges. I hope you like mine and my firend's work.

Tornado

About 3pm yesterday a tornado did some serious damage in Auckland. Pulling off tin roofs and making big buildings fall down, the resulting damage was horrible. This tornado was quite powerful, killing 1 or 2 people and many others were injured. The devastation was so bad that I can not describe it.

“Did you know room thirteen made straw towers. We were looking for the biggest towers to be made out of just straw and tape. It was quite had because we were on a time limit.
Some of us made it & some people did not. The hardest thing was that because our tower wasn’t stable it kept falling down.
